One of those days....

Sigh yes its true, its not a myth. Its the "One of those days" syndrome where one wants to be under the covers tucked in tightly into the bed forget everything and go into dreamland - only to realize you have work and no more leaves. Sigh.

Yes folks today is one of those days where nothing goes right and you dread what is next. I normally get up by 4-4.30 as I slipped into a routine but today I couldn't nay didn't want to get up and somehow managed to get up by 8am. I can live with oversleeping (occasionally ofc) but the current outages(4 hours and counting - yup currents not yet back bravo KEB bravo), raining in the night/early morning, gas getting over, no hot water (its chilly now) as well as punching in late for work makes you realize everything would have been so much better if you had just slept in.

Oh well at least I can study and work on my Resolutions :(!!! *fingers crossed*

Tale of Cuppy Cake, Traffic cop and 4 hour lunch!!

That was my weekend!!! Doesn't it sound awesome??? :P!!!!

Cuppy Cake and Ms. X: My neighbor on the event of it being Xmas and since I was a nice boy sent me Plum cake to eat but that wasn't the best part - person who brought it was more eye catching than the rich delicious Plum cake ;)!!!! I finally got a chance to speak to Ms. X after quite a few sessions of us gawking, gesturing, smiling and other sorts of playing games, which was fun, but talking is better as I make a better impression when I talk :D!!!! Suffice to say the meet and cake went well :)!!!

The Traffic Cop: Weird ain't it how these folks magically appear whenever we do something wrong? Now i normally abide by the traffic rules maybe because i was raised in Gulf where Traffic rules and regulations have to be followed to the T. So here i was following our gang happily listening to Switchfoot's new song Bullet Soul, when our gang decides to take a U-turn and get into One way street as it was a short cut to a restaurant. Lol behold our amusement when a traffic cop magically appeared whistling and while having an Ice-Cream in the other hand. It was a hilarious scene but we didn't find the humor in it till after the incident was over.... Oh well at least we lost only 50 bucks a person :(!!!!

4 hour lunch: God we were so hungry well at least I was considering I didn't eat breakfast, trekked up a mountain and did some monkey tricks. Well we ended up in this so called awesome restaurant to chow down some food. We ordered snacks considering it would come up fast - nope 2 drinks and 35 minutes later one order came in. Next order 10 minutes later and final snack order another 15 minutes later. I forgot to add we didn't get any plates and only got them after pleading with the staff to let us eat like Humans. 2 and a half hour later our main course came in and we were pretty tired and drunk by that time - Chowed down the food like a couple of hungry stray dogs attacking meat!!! Suffice to say I wont be setting foot in that restaurant lest I have time to kill!!!!

Good day weekend right?

White Christmas....

Yes sir its the song by the Gentleman Jim - White Christmas!!! What a song no scratch that what an artist, what a voice.... ahh soothing all the time. I always liked listening to Jim Reeves songs maybe because my father was a big fan of his songs, guess it got passed in my genes :)!!!

I love all kinds of music right from Hard Metal to Country, Psy-Trance to Rap, Reggae to Slow Rock.... as long as i like the starting tune. Coming back to Jim Reeves, since yesterday was Christmas I thought I would hear this song- ahh never ceases to amaze me... Check out the lyrics:

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
with every Christmas card i write
May your days be merry and bright
and may all your Christmases be white

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones i used to know
Where the treetops glisten and children listen
to hear sleigh bells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
with every Christmas card i write
may your days be merry and bright
and may all your Christmases be white

Now I never saw a white Christmas on account of staying in the Gulf and Sub-Continent but still I'm curious after the Texan Reeves explained White Christmas. Happy Holidays.

RIP Legendary Big Jim!!

Yup its true Gal gamers are more Geekier than Guy gamers according to a study in Journal of Communication. It states that female gamers who play RPG online spend more time in the virtual world than the Guy gamers. Shocking ain't it? I always thought Gal Gamers would be like so:

So rejoice Not-Geeky Nerdy Guy Gamers:

Heard the album and have to say listening to it once is good but somehow I cannot envision myself listening to this album again at least for sometime at least... guess my quest continues. I have provided a link to another blog - a fan of Frank Zappa... good blog must say!!! Needless to say I will be following that blog for sometime :D!!!

Frank Zappa's Revenge: Shut Up ‘N Play Yer Guitar:

Guitar baby.... oh yeaaaa

I love Guitar. I love the sounds it makes, how cool a person looks when he has one, the feeling of being alone and yet surrounded by fans when practicing alone. I love the both the Classical and the Electric guitars sound. Bottom line Guitar rocks. I tried my hand at Guitar and though I played the basic stuff well I had to cut it short as I had to travel and thus ended my brief relationship with the Guitar. I know I know I could have continued practicing and learning but unfortunately I had constrains and thus I had to comfort myself to listening to Guitar tunes from Slash, Joe Perry, Santana, Dream Theatre, Steve Vai, Jimi Hendrix etc.

I constantly try to hear old and new Guitar tracks and currently I'm listening to Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar by Frank Zappa.

Title wonder?

Many people(mostly my friends who seen my blogs)ask me why I named my current blog as Anomaly in village?? well at the moment I'm working in a village as this industry thrives in such areas and the company founder believes in having his workforce close to the sites make them corporate folks who sit in cushy offices a taste of the hard life!!! What's my point of view? Well as interesting as it may sound - No traffic, exotic cars to see, healthy living etc I still miss my binging on junk food, hanging out in malls, watching the bird life, going to theaters first day shows etc.... thus at the moment I am an Anomaly in village......

Weekend bliss...

What a weekend this turned out to be... granted it wasn't with family; close friends nonetheless this was a cracker!!! I mean impromptu parties.... i love impromptu parties - planning is kept to a minimum, no burden on what to buy who to invite etc.
So coming back to my weekend so it begins:
Saturday night - booze fest (White rum, Old monk, Beers, Sprite, Thumbs Up), chicken, chips, bachelor's cooking food while drunk (hilarious), Football (watching Manu and Tottenham lose made my night!!!), Cricket (India winning - what a comedy of errors on both teams part) and of course the usual office gossip (who would imagine men gossiping so much!!) :D!!
Sunday morn: after coming back around 2AM and sleeping around 4-4.30 (laundry, facebook :( ) i awake groggily to see i have not one but 36 missed calls and 5 messages damn!!! I quickly get ready and leave. Three amigos, three bikes its Road Trip time.... it was an exhilarating 9 hours of driving, screaming, posing, experimenting and also had time to watch bears awesome!!! Drove around 100+km on Indian roads!!!

Now at work while writing this entry i keep thinking of the drive, wind in my face and the experiences and i come to one conclusion - Weekend gets over fast!!
